The September Issue

I saw the September Issue at the movies over the weekend. For those of you who have not seen it, what are you doing? It is totally awesome. Get down to your nearest cinema or order it on Amazon straight away!

I came out of the September Issue totally stunned by the incredibleness of Grace Coddington (Vogue’s Creative Director) and her ability to dream up these amazing landscapes for fashion photo shoots. Looking at fashion pictures in most magazines there seems to be little emphasis placed on the atmosphere the photo evokes. Typically a model stands in some setting and has her photo taken and the clothes look amazing and the model looks gorgeous but that seems to be the extent of the photograph. Grace Coddington dreams up these amazing settings and this becomes as influential to the shoot as the clothes and the models. It is quite remarkable. Some of us might be lucky to have one fashion shoot idea as remarkable as Grace Coddington’s, yet each issue she musters up numerous striking photo shoots which are always fresh, unique and totally imaginative.

In the September Issue I fell in love with Grace Coddington’s 1920’s shoot. It was so beautiful. The real purpose of this entry is just for me to post pictures from this shoot. I really cannot get enough of them.
